Please note that if you choose to not use the center post, the a 1 X 1 piece must go into its place to prevent excessive deformation. It also improves the clamping strength.

This view illustrates how the post holds the bag more upright than if attached to the seat post. Installation and removal will be faster since you will not have to unbuckle the seat post strap.

Since I have the optional post installed, I have the strap already fastened and I just lower the bag below the post and slide it up.

When pin is aligned with the hole, it will snap into place. That is all there is to the whole installation. The whole thing takes about three to five seconds.

Here, without a bag attached is a good view of the new mounting system. The vertical post you see coming out the bottom holds a saddlebag more upright and will not brush your legs. NOTE.. Vertical post is optional and can be left out if not desired.
